Groundworks Plant Operations Surrey Skills Bootcamp at CISTC

We’re proud to be delivering the Groundworks Plant Operations Surrey Skills Bootcamp right here at our CISTC training centre.

This fully funded, two-week course is part of the Surrey Skills Bootcamp initiative, supported by Surrey County Council’s Skills for Life programme.

It helps people gain industry-recognised qualifications and prepare for a successful career in groundworks and plant operations within the construction sector.

What Is the Surrey Skills Bootcamp in Groundworks Plant Operations?

Our Surrey Skills Bootcamp in Groundworks Plant Operations, delivered by CISTC, gives learners the skills, knowledge, and confidence to work safely and effectively in construction. The course combines classroom learning with hands-on, practical training using real machinery and equipment.

It focuses on construction site safety, groundworks operations, and plant machinery use. By the end of the course, you’ll have the confidence and competence to move straight into employment or continue your professional training.

In addition, every participant will receive a guaranteed interview with a local employer at the end of the course – helping you take the next step in your career.

On Friday 24th October, we were delighted to welcome Matt Furniss, Cabinet Member for Highways, Transport and Economic Growth at Surrey County Council, to our CISTC training centre.

Mr Furniss toured our facilities, met our training team, and viewed some of the plant machinery that will be used in the upcoming Bootcamps.
