Course Description
The Safe Use of Fire Extinguishers Training Course is for anyone in the workplace who may need to use a fire extinguisher. In addition, participants will gain an understanding of how to operate and the limitations of different types of extinguishers.
This is a one day course.
This course can be delivered as:
- An open courses at our centre in Farnham.
- In-house training at your offices.
- Off-site training at a site arranged by you.
Safe Use of Fire Extinguishers Training Course Details
- Firstly, an overview of fire classifications.
- Fire safety training. Also how to identify fire hazards in areas of work and general locations.
- An understanding of Extinguisher types and uses.
- Knowledge of how to respond safely and effectively in an emergency.
- Finally, it will give the delegate an effective understanding of the means to extinguish a fire, if safe to do so.
Requirements:
A good level of written and spoken English is required to successfully complete this course. If you have any concerns regarding this please contact our office and we discuss available options (e.g. hiring a translator at an additional cost).
What is awarded after completion of the course?:
Once the course has been completed candidates will receive a 3 year certificate.
