CPCS A17E Suspended Loads Course Overview

The CPCS A17E Suspended Loads Course is designed for experienced CPCS A17 telescopic handler operators who want to add the E endorsement for lifting suspended loads. This two-day course combines essential theory, health and safety knowledge, and practical lifting operations, followed by the official CPCS theory and practical tests.

Course Details

Day One:

  • Revision of CPCS theory knowledge questions.
  • Relevant Health & Safety legislation.
  • Responsibilities of the operator.
  • Identification, maintenance, and checking of plant, equipment, and accessories.
  • Types of lift, pre-use checks.
  • Communication with the workforce, hand signals, lift safety, sequence of operations, and controlling loads.
  • Practical training on different types of lifts and loads.

Day Two:

  • CPCS Theory & Practical Tests.

Training Methods:

The training involves both theory and practical training at the test centre.

Pre-requisites:

Delegates MUST have passed their CSCS Health, Safety, and Environment Test within the last 2 years (to the date of the actual CPCS tests). Delegates who arrive without possessing a valid CSCS HSE pass will not be permitted to attend and will lose the full cost of the course.
